Due to this smart timing, the spring weather makes for the perfect time to schedule not only a fabulous European vacation, but also include a stop to a major tennis tournament. Some of the popular spring events include the Monte Carlo Masters in April, the Rome Masters, Mutua Madrid Masters, and French Open in May. These events are all major tournaments featuring the world’s top ranked players like Serena Williams and Novak Djokovic.
Additionally, many minor tennis tournaments take place throughout Europe as well during this time such as the Barcelona Open in late April. While some of these events don’t carry the same superstar appeal, there are still scores of up and coming players and the wonderful aura of pro tennis!
